The Missions Department at Harbor of Hope is a vibrant program that supports many different areas of missions, both locally and internationally. We believe wholeheartedly in the mandate of Matthew 28:19 which tells us to "...go and make followers of all people in the world..." (NCV).
We actively support the following areas of ministry through the IPHC:
* Faith Commitment - This consists of a personal pledge to provide support of
missionaries by faith and give as God enables you to do so.
Currently, Harbor of Hope assists 13 missionary families.
* People To People - Several areas of ministry fall under the People to People program,
which include:
* Global Outreach - This ministry is "flexible" - it goes where it's needed most. It is characterized
by two values: 1. It's fast - when a door opens, Global Outreach can help
immediately. 2. It's fruitful - it supplies buildings, materials, and resources.
* Coffee House Ministry - This ministry provides for one-on-one evangelism in a casual setting
and has led to the establishment of more than 15 churches worldwide.
* Operation Teaching Tools - This vital ministry is a program in which our Discipleship Ministries
resources and materials are "recycled" for use overseas.
* TEAMS - This ministry helps coordinate and track all IPHC short-term mission trips. Harbor of
Hope has participated in trips to Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Ukraine, Haiti, Peru,
and Nicaragua.
