Our goal is to allow all individuals to utilize their musical God given talents and expand such talents for the use in ministry. Praise & Worship is the central theme throughout the Music and Creative Ministries Department here at Harbor of Hope. We daily seek God’s favor and anointing to change hearts and lives for His glory.

Harbor of Hope Choir
The Harbor of Hope Choir is a vital part of both Sunday Morning Worship Services. This Adult Choir consists of dedicated and faithful members whose desire is to uplift the name of Jesus and to lead the congregation into praise and worship and to help prepare hearts to receive the Word of God. The Choir is also very involved in the holiday ministries. Regular choir rehearsal is held every Wednesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
Harbor of Hope Musicians and Praise Teams
Both of these exciting ministries minister in all regularly scheduled services and rehearse on Wednesday evening at approximately 8:15 p.m. We believe in all types of musical instruments as stated in Psalms 150 and we are truly blessed to have faithful and talented musicians and singers, which assist in the leading of worship.
Drama Team
The Drama Team consists of spirited and energetic youth and adult members. Members minister in church services and are often accompanied by the Harbor of Hope Choir in song. Drama is a special ministry which displays different styles of worship and praise.
Handbell Choir
This inspiring Choir uses handbells as a unique way of ministering. The tender but sharp sounds of the handbells allow our minds to rest in the presence of the Lord. The Handbell Choir is open to new members.
Junior Choir
We consider our Junior Choir not only the future of Harbor of Hope, but a very vital part of the church today. These talented children love music and more importantly the Lord, as they sing and minister a wide variety of music. With some members as young as five years old, it is always a delight to see these children in action. The Junior Choir practices each Wednseday Evening at 5:45 p.m. New members are always welcome.
Teen Choir
The title says it all - teens in ministry through song. How exciting it is to see young men and women in ministry using their singing abilities to bless others. Just meeting together in itself is beneficial as teens can share needs, goals, victories, and accomplishments as they continue to grow into the mature adult God wants them to be. The opportunities in this area of ministry are endless; if you are interested in becoming a member of the Teen Choir please see the Minister of Music.

Our Technical Ministries are an essential part of worship and plays a vital role in allowing our Music and Creative Ministries to be the best they can be for the Lord during worship services. These areas of ministry include:

The Sound Ministry works diligently to ensure that the music and the spoken word are delivered precisely and clearly for everyone’s enjoyment. The people who work with sound must be attentive, alert and sensitive to God and the leading of the service via the Pastor, Minister of Music, etc. What an integrate role this ministry has in the furthering of the Gospel here at Harbor of Hope.
The Music and Creative Ministries Department has state-of-the-art media technology using different programs which allow the capability of showing a variety of information needed in order for our services to run smoothly. Such information would include choruses, praise and worship, announcements, scriptures, and even pastoral messages. The lighting area alone is a ministry in itself, as the special effects of lighting allows for dramatic scenes during services, musicals, and other various presentations. The video ministry is the newest ministry within Music & the aspects of this ministry have allowed us to begin recording for DVD purposes.
This ministry allows our church to reproduce the recording of our services through cassette tapes, CDs & DVDs. This ministry works in close relation to the Sound / Audio & Multi-Media ministries to reproduce the services for your enjoyment and the enjoyment of your family and friends. It has become a valuable tool of outreach for Music in allowing us to reach beyond the church itself and into the hands of others who may not regularly attend church.
